Announcement EPHmodern2012 on Thursday 8 March 2012:
Last week the Committee of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety of the European Parliament has voted a number of amendments on the “Review of the 6th Environment Action Programme and the setting of priorities for the 7th Environment Action Programme – A better environment for a better life”, this in view of he 7th Environment Action Plan of the European Commission to be decided on this year. A final vote by the European Parliament is expected later this year
The places where experts and non-expert advisors, scientists, professionals, and policy officers meet each year in Europe are the EPH Annual Meetings on Environment and Public Health. On Thursday 8 March 2012 will be made public through SHE’s Letter (Science, health and Environment) in which City takes place the 3d EPH Annual & Consultative Conference on Environment and Public Health in Modern Society – EPHmodern2012. Information will be provided on the EPH-Info website where you find also more information about the EPH Programme/Platform on Environment and Public Health.
We advise you to block already the dates of 24-27 October 2012 to meet your colleagues, friends, and to be informed about the latest progress in E & H research – prevention policy as well as for exchanging your scientific and policy ideas. We advise you also to block Saterday 28 October for those who will be active in Working Platforms: for most interesting events & visits.
