8th International Conference on Legionella

Dear Colleagues,

The 8th International Conference on Legionella will be held in Melbourne, Australia from 29th October – 1st November, 2013. The goal of the meeting is to bring together researchers and professionals with an interest in the biology, epidemiology, clinical and environmental management and prevention of Legionella infections. A wide range of scientific symposia will highlight current issues around Legionella and a full social program will provide invaluable opportunities for international networking and the exchange of information. We greatly encourage participation by students and scientists in the early stages of their careers.

Melbourne, Victoria is an exciting and vibrant city to visit. Modern architecture and design sits side by side with heritage buildings that reflect Australia’s unique history. The city is an appealing blend of boulevards, parks and historic laneways that are lined with cafes and bars, boutiques, galleries, theatres and museums. Within an hour’s drive of the city, visitors can enjoy some of Australia’s most spectacular coastlines, wildlife reserves, wineries, temperate rainforests, surf beaches and historic townships.

With these combined attractions, we do hope you will join us in Melbourne for Legionella 2013

Sincerely,

Professor Elizabeth Hartland
Chair Legionella 2013 Organising Committee
