ANDALUSIAN SCHOOL OF PUBLIC HEALTH
10-12 APRIL 2014
On behalf of the European Public Health Association (EUPHA), the Organizing Committee, the Scientific Committee, the Consorci de Salut i Social de Catalunya and the Andalusian School of Public Health we have the honour to invite you to the 5th Conference of Migrant and Ethnic Minority Health.
The economic crisis that affects Europe, and particularly the southern countries, has produced important changes in social and health policies. The effects of these changes in the health status and healthcare should be analyzed by all actors involved, such as researchers, epidemiologists, policy makers, health providers, NGOs, etc. The aim of the conference is to provide a forum for all -scientific, policy and other health actors- to share and discuss different approaches of analysis and practical experiences in migrants and ethnic minorities’ health and healthcare in a context of economic restrictions.
The Conference will take place at the Andalusian School of Public Health (EASP). Its building, inaugurated in 1991, occupies 11,200 m2. It has wifi access, 9 classrooms that can be equipped with portable computers, an auditorium with a seating capacity of 400 people and fitted with 2 interpretation booths. It also offers participants a computer room, two meeting rooms and a cafeteria with gorgeous views.
EASP is located in the city of Granada, Spain, a university city with a national airport, and close to Malaga, city with an international airport. There are few cities like Granada in the world, with such jam-packed and varied history reflected so well through its streets and monuments. The historical monument complex of the Alhambra and the Generalife, the jasmine-scented streets of the Moorish Albaicín, the Cathedral, the Science Park, and more to find out.
